LIFA client project · Heavy machinery

2,646 machinery products.One searchable catalog.

LIFA brought a trading business’s construction and industrial equipment range into a 697-page PDF catalog, with one approved structure from product indexing to final delivery.

The starting point

An equipment range without a common reference.

Product data was fragmented across equipment lines, with no unified searchable catalog and inconsistent sales materials.

The assignment was to turn that fragmented information into an authoritative, presentation-grade catalog across the buyer’s equipment lines.

The buyer
A heavy-machinery trading entity operating across construction and industrial equipment lines.
The product scope
Heavy machinery: construction and industrial equipment; 2,646 product SKUs.
From product data to a usable catalog

Structure first.
Design and delivery next.

  1. Organize the equipment range

We structured the indexing of all 2,646 products, giving the construction and industrial equipment lines a consistent framework.

  2. Build the approved catalog

We produced the 697-page PDF using the buyer’s approved design direction and indexing scheme.

  3. Prepare the final reference

We prepared the metadata and indexing structure for the delivered catalog. The buyer signed off the final PDF before delivery.

Buyer control at each decision

Approved before the next stage.

  1. Design direction approved by buyer.
  2. Catalog structure and indexing scheme approved before build.
  3. Final PDF signed off before delivery.

Documents behind the work

What this project shows

A useful machinery catalog starts with consistent product indexing. Agree the structure and design before building hundreds of pages. The same discipline helps procurement teams keep model references, specifications and approvals together when an equipment inquiry moves forward.

Before your next equipment project

Catalog and procurement questions, answered.

What did LIFA deliver for this machinery project?

LIFA delivered a 697-page PDF catalog covering 2,646 construction and industrial equipment products. The work included structured product indexing, the approved design direction, and catalog metadata. The buyer approved the structure before the build and signed off the final PDF before delivery.

Why agree the product index before designing the catalog?

The index gives the equipment range a consistent structure before individual pages are built. For this project, fragmented product data and inconsistent sales materials were the starting problem. Approving the indexing scheme first gave the catalog a common framework across 2,646 products.

Does a catalog entry confirm that a machine fits my application?

A catalog helps identify and compare equipment; the technical match still needs review for the specific order. Send the required model or part reference, application, capacity, power supply and relevant drawings or datasheets. Confirm missing information and deviations before approving a quotation.

Can LIFA organize product information from suppliers I already use?

Yes. Share your existing product files, supplier list and the part of the work that needs support. The scope can cover product information, specification follow-up or wider procurement coordination. You retain approval of suppliers, quotations, payments and the final deliverables.

Can I download the client’s 697-page catalog?

The completed catalog is retained with the project records. The public project summary protects the client’s identity, supplier contacts and confidential commercial terms. For your own equipment range, send the available product data and intended use so we can review a suitable scope.

How are sourcing and coordination fees agreed?

When LIFA finds the supplier, sourcing costs are included in the product quote without an added standard 5% commission. For a customer-provided supplier, the standard service commission is 5% unless agreed otherwise in writing. A catalog or documentation assignment needs its own agreed scope and quotation.

Start with the equipment you need

Bring your product information into one clear brief.

Share your equipment list, quantity, destination and target date. Include model references, RFQs, BOMs, datasheets or drawings when available. If you already have a supplier, tell us which part of the work needs support.

We review the brief, clarify missing requirements and propose a scope for your approval. You retain supplier selection, quotation and payment decisions.
