What needed to change?
Field tests showed jackets failed at −8°C despite −20°C claims; returns spiked to 9%; fill weight and fill power were below specification.
How LIFA managed the work
We verified fill weight and fill power on 12 samples against the spec sheet.
We found the factory substituting lower-grade fill while keeping the label.
We negotiated a claim and a corrective-action plan with the factory.
We qualified 1 alternative supplier with certified fill testing.
Claim settled for 70% of the batch value; production re-run met the −20°C spec; returns fell to 2.1%; the following season sold out 24,000 units.
